24 hour window provided to rectify damaged Road LED

Lux Meter would be used to check LED’s which would be connected through GPS system to server for instant notification to electricity board.

With the new system to commence there would be no need to register complaints for defective or damaged road Led’s. The control room would get instant notification of any defective condition of LED’s through the new GPS system to be launched by the board and it would have to be corrected or rectified within 24 hours of notification.

The control room’s proceedings can also be surveyed by the mayor and the commissioner through mobile app. The Led’s are being put all over the city as a part of an energy saving project. A control room at the board’s zonal office at Mansarovar is being made for the monitoring of road lights.

It would present the road numbers as well as the number of lights on a certain road. The mayor, the board commissioner and the light commissioner would be given a user id and password by road light MNC infrastructure for better monitoring purposes. This would make it easier to see the present scenario of road lights and also the number of road lights in working conditions in different areas respectively by the bearer of the user id and password.

Around 70 points identified for LED lights

According to Board’s commissioner Ashutosh AT  Pendakar around 70,000 points would be converted to LED’s out of 2,19,000 road light points. These LED lights would save electricity consumption by 77% and would also give thrice the focus than normal lights. The board has been surveying the lights through a lux meter so that the lighting can be proportional to the road’s width in the future. Recently the LED lights at JLN Marg were surveyed. 

Approximately 560 lights have been put up from Jawahar circle to Ramniwas Bagh. The lights are being in the test phase now and if any loopholes are found would be rectified.
