Nagar Nigam has been asked to submit a factsheet report regarding a cleaning purpose company by Lokayukth
Mr. A.S Kothari, Lokayukth has asked the company secretary of Nagar Nigam to submit the report by 17th august. Dainik Bhaskar had first published this report under the title Company under fraudulent practices, commissioner fires the corrupt officer. Mr. A.S Kothari further adds, Messer’s Pahri protection private limited was granted tender for the year 2012-2013 and 2014-2015 under various beats by Nagar Nigam. The company did not submit service tax, employee’s esi, PF, and contingency charges to the department as per conditions of tender.
Despite this, the company was given tender workflow for 2 years. In addition the Nigam’s mayor, cleaning samiti chairperson were adamant to pay four crore plus payment amount to the company. It should be noted that the payment over two crore is not acceptable by rules without proper screening and survey of the situation. By rules, this proposal of payment should be first sent to financial committee for approval. In addition, when a check committee was formed for the same only those people who were adamant to pay the company were included in that committee.
In addition, the financial advisor Mr. Indraraj Singh who had put light to this matter was fired from his services. The lokayukth has appealed to take this matter seriously, as it seems a payment against rules case as per the news and facts. He has also sent a notice to former financial advisor Mr. Indraraj Singh in which 16 questions has been asked regarding the above case.
