Unites Facebook is a success.
Growth committees and Ngo’s and local
residents join hands for beautification and cleanliness of Jaipur

unites facebook, which is launched for cleanliness and beautification of the city
is showing positive response. Within 13 days of its launch, it has got 47
proposals of cleanup and other works. Around 500 plus people have become a part
of this campaign. At around five of these places scout, guide students have
started working, and proposals for other places are coming on the website. The first
phase of Jaipur Unites action plan was performed under Nigam head Ashutosh AT
Pandekar at Udaipur. Under Action Udaipur, around 150 projects are successfully
completed with local citizen’s help.
What is Jaipur Unites Facebook?
To make
Jaipur clean and developing city, Nagar Nigam has started Jaipur Unites Facebook.
Local People, Growth committees, and NGO’s can send plans and proposals to the
website. The Nigam would provide means and tools and local people and NGO’s
would have to work on those projects. Proposals can be uploaded on jaipurunites@gmail.com.
To see work
in action the Nigam has formed citizen outreach and corporate social
responsibility cell. This cell would work to prepare list of projects and
create network of people. The completed projects will be uploaded on the
website with before and after work photos.
Around 400 Scout Guide students
worked for approximately 1200 hours
Around 400
scout guide students under the guidance of district education officer Vishnu
Swami have joined this campaign. These students follow a work schedule for 3
days a week for about 1200 hours in five places regarding cleanliness project
in turns. Students work every day from seven to eight in the morning. They also
give information to people coming for morning walks about Jaipur Unites
campagain and convince people to join the campaign and make a difference to the
city’s growth.
